Technology has been at the forefront of telecommuting for a long time. And in certain industries such as virtual call centers has been a huge facilitator of the growth of a telecommuting sector.

Telecommuting can not only be made easier through the strategic use of technology, but if used correctly it can significantly drive up a companies profits, but driving down fixed costs and allowing higher freelance competition in the marketplace.
